Named by the San Francisco Chronicle as one of the top “experiences” in the Bay Area, the Ferry is a way of life for Treasure Island residents. Rides to and from downtown San Francisco Ferry Building Gate B and Treasure Island Ferry Landing operate seven days a week.

The location is what drew me here…it’s just unlike anything else. The views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, Oakland Port, the ships & sailboats, city skyline, and the water are absolutely wonderful. Every day is just beautiful on the island.

The walk from the ferry building to Isle House is a delight. It’s rare to see public spaces of this quality in American cities. Starting or ending a journey by walking through a plaza completely protected from traffic is a huge quality-of-life boost.
